This was one of my favorite #birthdayparty themes to help create with my bestie for her daughter’s 2nd birthday! Lots of DIY details went into making the perfect vintage style County Fair Birthday Party!
First up- homemade jam party favors! We used this recipe to go off of. HERE
Few tips: make sure you boil the jars on spoons or forks or a rack so they don’t crack the glass. PRO TIP: this came from Mama Ging… blend the fruit in a blender and save yourself TONS of time and effort smashing the fruit. Mason Jars found HERE. LABELS FOUND HERE
I found vintage pastel fabric at Hobby Lobby and cut about 3×2” triangles and then hot glued them to brown twine to use as a banner.
The apple orchard bookshelf was a detail that drew a ton of attention! I bought the cheapest oldest piece of wood in the clearance section of Home Depot. Sawed it down to the size I wanted, about 4×16”.
Then I just painted “apple orchard” on to the sign with this .99 cents vintage red paint found HERE.
Carmel apples are so easy to make. Grab a bag of granny Smith apples. The tart taste of the Granny Smith helps counteract the sweet caramel covering. put these STICKS into the middle of each apple and then melt this CARMEL and use this recipe to create the yummiest treats!!
PLASTIC MASON JARS FOUND HERE filled with apple juice and cute vintage straws for guests to enjoy.
We grabbed some freshly baked mini pies for .50 cents at WALMART FOUND HERE to display.
Cotton Candy was bought at Sams in bulk HERE. Place a handful of each color in these TREAT BAGS and use CLOTHES PINS to hang on twine rope.
